The Seaweed Collection is part of the Experimental jewelry works. The idea behind this design was an attempt to capture the movement of seaweed. This was quite challenging because the medium was copper that is a hard and stiff material. For this project the maker used copper wires. The wires were hammered in order to form a wide shape that resembles seaweed.

This collection includes a necklace and a brooch. Both pieces are artistic and decorative.

The ring is the result of a study on sculptured jewelry. The model was made with hard wax and then turned into sterling silver with the lost wax technique.

Drop Necklace

The “Drop Necklace” is part of the Experimental jewelry collection. The “Drop Necklace” is the first silver jewelry project of Katerina Glinou. It was made from hard wax, in two pieces and then stuck together to form the full shape. This because the drop has to be hollow so the final charm is lighter. Then the full piece was casted into sterling silver by using the lost wax technique. The result is a large hollow silver drop charm for a necklace. The size of the drop is almost 5 cm long.
